Built to the Print. Ready for Production.
Cutting, forming, welding and machining supported by the same quality system as our finishing operations. Where the work is integrated, it can move from fabrication to coating without changing vendors.
From Flat Stock to Finished Weldment
Ranew's began as a paint shop. We added fabrication because customers needed one company that could build, finish and deliver the complete product.
Cutting
Laser cutting and CNC punching produce accurate, repeatable blanks with clean edges. Good edge quality carries through forming and supports consistent coating adhesion.
Forming
Press brake forming and rolling to your print, with tooling developed in-house when a standard punch and die will not produce the required geometry.
Welding
Robotic welding supports repeat production where consistency and cycle time matter. Skilled manual welding handles low volume, large assemblies and configurations a robot cannot reach. Fixtures are built in-house to help hold tolerance across the run.
Machining
Secondary machining for bores, threads, faced surfaces and other features that require tighter tolerance than formed material can hold.
Tooling and Fixturing
We build our own tools, jigs and weld fixtures, allowing us to quote the full scope without adding an outside vendor and another lead time to the program.
Measured Against the Print
Fabricated work is verified with a FARO portable coordinate measuring arm and compared directly against your CAD geometry.
First Article
Dimensional verification before production begins, with a documented report for your quality team.
In-Process Checks
Defined inspection points inside the routing help catch drift during the run rather than at final inspection.
Weld Fixture Validation
Fixtures are proved out and rechecked to help maintain consistent dimensions across the production run.
Material Certification
Mill certifications are retained and supplied when your specification requires traceability to the heat.
PPAP Support
Production part approval packages, including capability studies, are available when required.
ISO 9001:2015
The same certified quality system that governs our coating operations governs the fabrication department.
We Will Tell You Where Cost Can Come Out
Send us a print and we will quote it as drawn. We will also tell you if a bend relief, material change, different weld sequence or one fewer piece in the assembly could reduce cost without changing what the product does.
That conversation is easier with us than with a pure fabrication shop because we also coat and assemble the work. We understand how design decisions affect the steps that follow.
From Fabrication Into Finishing
Where fabrication and finishing are integrated, a weldment can move from the fixture to powder or liquid without outside freight, rehandling or another receiving inspection in between.
- Fewer outside handoffs and freight moves
- Clear accountability when issues arise
- One schedule covering build and finish
- Assembly and packaging available as part of the scope
